What's that tiny white light for just to the right of the coupler?

As with the 377/6 its a light for the track camera. There's also a pan light for pan camera like the 379 and 377/7 fleets.

Oh I see, I was aware about the pan cameras in the 379 and 377/7 fleets but didn't have a clue what the light I asked about was for.

Does the Class 387/1s have the same kind of interior as the Classes 377/6s and 377/7s?

Just wondering what improvements it has over the existing Classes 377/2s and 377/5s that are currently operating on the Thameslink and would they be in service by or from Dec 14 timetable?

Definitely. The 319s are Mk3 carriage based and are more 'squarer' than the later Electrostars and Turbostars which all have similar inward leaning sides.

They seem to have the same seats as the 377/6s and 7s, going by pics ive seem from the side, which is a big shame. Once again a drop down in cushioning and comfort from the previous units, although the height of those seats is better than 319s.

The 387s have almost the same interior as the 377/7 expect one car less and extra luggage racks, one per doorway.

The 387s will be regularly going to Crewe on commissioning runs just like the 379s (unless they change the directions which they've already done once).

Doesn't matter whether these trains operate south, north, west or east - four cars should be history - nationwide it is a fact that far too many passengers are crammed into nowhere near enough coaches. Hence my comments re 6 car formation. As for my point re on train staff - well, yes, call them what you like - passengers will always want them on board.

Disagree, there are services on SWT where 6 cars are not enough, but 12 would be too many. a pair of 450s works well on these services.

Not 100% sure of when, but they will definitely be back out there as they are testing the 110mph I believe.

Working with BT on this project they are on build with Trainset 21 which will be finish in the next 2 Weeks and all the Trainsets should be build my Week 05/15 then a long wait till the 387/2 are to be build on May
