Can anyone confirm for definite that current Saturdays, the 37s are only the following six workings please?

2P52 09:57 Norwich - Great Yarmouth (a.10:42)
2P53 10:47 Great Yarmouth - Norwich (a.11:20)
2P58 11:57 Norwich - Great Yarmouth (a.12:40)
2P59 12:47 Great Yarmouth - Norwich (a.13:17)
2P62 13:57 Norwich - Great Yarmouth (a.14:40)

Should be however two Saturdays ago they covered my 4 fast Yarmouth's starting with the 09:09 thus cancelling all the above.

I wonder if information control have paged that out by mistake as it's the SX diagram. There is no 0747 from Lowestoft. It should be on fast Yarmouths from 0959.

Yet again information control has posted out that the 37s will be operating the SX diagram commencing 0747 ex-Lowestoft this morning It cannot be used for the vast majority of a Sunday.

So have Norwich ASLEF agreed driver training in passenger service which is an absolute no-no with the threat of a walkout elsewhere on new trains?

That was all agreed last year. There will always be a second person (guard) onboard. Certain links have been fully trained but it's a very small proportion of overall drivers. There where several days of strike action from the RMT until a compromise was reached.

I’m sure with the extra passengers I saw on a GA service to Peterborough and no doubt many more on the Norwich to Cambridge services a “special deal” was arranged with EMT.

Possibly but we've put on them enough times in the last few weeks with the chronic unit shortage. Getting close to becoming a family affair though.

According to the frequently requested diagrams, the 1237 from Norwich should be your first opportunity.
I think I'm going to try for earlier in the day and then at least I can do a full afternoons work (lucky in that I work from home, so easy for me make up for a few hours stolen to go and inhale diesel fumes).

It can't because of speed restrictions Ely North Junction to Lakenheath in both directions. Up road East Midlands Trains would object due to delaying it as closely following & down road as would not arrive into Norwich in time to form the next xx40 departure.

Ahhh. I hadn't checked the sectional appendix. It is bad enough having to drop to 20mph for an overbridge on the way to Yarmouth. Are the 755s cleared for SP limits?

Looks like it yes now the fuel tanks have been reduced in size.

No was decided well prior to delivery. They can do less than half the mileage a standard DMU can which is 1500 miles between refuelling. There will be many more visits to Crown Point (other furling points have been mooted) than currently & this has been built into diagrams which require much more shuffling of the pack. It has made them far less attractive an option than originally thought.

How does this affect the 3-car 755's? With only two gen-sets there must be room in the power-car for bigger fuel tanks + probably less weight / axle-loading than the 4-car unit power-cars.
