I was wrong about 379s being slow to accelerate !

I did two tests and on both occasions 60 mph was reached in 45 seconds!

Is the distance 2892 yards relevant? Because if it is, how could it be covered by a vehicle accelerating from 0 - 60 mph in 45 seconds?

I didn't stop the clock after 45 seconds - the speed was 88 mph after about 2 minutes when I did stop it.

395s do it in 38 seconds, well 0-100kph on a slight rise leaving Ebbesfleet.

Yes it's hard to time those as the exits are restricted as you know.

I surprised 379s might even be thought of as slow? I assume they're very similar to 377s under the wires, and they accelerate quickly (or feel like they do!)

It was my erroneous assumption from a very limited number of trips. It took over a minute on those occasions for 60 mph to be attained but as can be seen I was very wrong.

I did try and ride 377s to measure them under the wires but drizzle ruled out any fast starts.

They're only going to get quicker as they shed weight in the form of button caps ;)
