From what i've read, there were about 6x sets of 379s out on LST - SSD duties today.

So, you have a large chance of getting one, they normally run every 15 minutes.

5 sets today, 4 sets of 317's. They're being used at weekends now too so there is a good chance you'll get one.

How long until they are running some Cambridge services? Also I heard somewhere that they are planning a service calling at only Whittlesford Parkway, Audley End, Bishops Stortford and Tottenham Hale, is this true? :D

As I understand it, the additional fast service is a proposal for the big December timetable change- which is also when (with all 30 delivered) some of the Cambridge peak services are due to go 379. The Stansted-Stratfords are also due to be cut back to Bishops Stortford and there's a proposal to run an Ely-Stansted, possibly all-stops, service. Nothing is confirmed yet (unless theplanner knows better).

Yes big WA changes in Dec 11 with those kind of changes among others, but I think the Ely-Stansted is off the agenda again. Wouldn't be surprised to see 379s start dropping onto Cambridges (weekends especially) before the end of the summer though as more units (and more importantly traincrew) become available.

Has there been anything said about the Ely-Stansted since the consultation? Certainly not seen anything official.
