Having used the East London Line a couple of times recently, and having picked up grumbles elsewhere, I've got a couple of questions:
1. Reliability- it may just be perception from NRE/Twitter, but the North/West London Line service seems to be suffering poor reliability, whilst I've not heard similar about the Watford DC and ELR services. Is this a fair perception? If so, any idea why just that line suffering problems?
2. Partly linked- are the Watford and NLL/WLL fleets operationally separate? Or do they operate as a single pool?
As well as the reliability, the other reason I ask 2 is to do with the Underground-style route maps inside the carriages. Oh dear. They're a bit of a, um, mess to be honest. The approach taken with the District C and D stock has been ignored. Instead, all the lines are on one map. On the C-stock, only those District services run by C are shown in full (plus Circle and H&C), with normal interchange symbols used for interchange with other District services. The same goes for the D-stock. This helps reduce confusion on the map.
At the very least, if the dual-voltage stock is a single fleet, the ELL could be treated separately. As could, of course, the GOBLIN. With the current approach, when the extension Phase 2 is completed, there's a risk of Clapham Junction appearing at opposite ends of the map.
For those unfamiliar, this is the current Overground network in geographic form. The ELL is separate (physically at the moment) using DC_only stock. The line from Euston to Watford is at a different level at Willesden. They've tried to display all of that a linear diagram.
