Hi all,

Got the train yesterday. On arriving at East Croydon the train (formed of 3x 377) on coach 6 or 7 had a flashing yellow door release light. The same one that illuminates when the doors are released.

What does this indicate, if anything?

Thanks!

Normally means door controls active in that vehicle

If not guard controlled as mentioned above could also be a pass com or disabled alarm activation.

Will be a PassCom alarm. Either at the door or one of the toilets (most common).

377s do not flash their bodyside indicator lights when a guard/OBS is keyed in. Only desiros do that.

It will either be a Passcom or egress handle pulled

Always thought it indicated to platform staff, which carriage the conductor had the local door open, where they have a key that's locks open the door that they are by and before turning a switch to close it.
