They are still relatively common on the Greenwich line in my experience.

How many 465s are left, about 120? That’s significantly more than 60 combined 376s and 707s, although the diagrams might be more intensive for those.

Well that's 120 4-car units, so pretty much 60 8-car metro services at the max. 466s aren't separate trains anymore, so they just function as a toilet coach/wonderful Metro-Cammell motor noise machine.

707s are ALWAYS 10-car (2x5) from my experience although I'm sure someone will prove me wrong, so at maximum it's 15.
376s are mostly 10-car (2x5) again, subtracting 4 because I have heard of 5-car 376 metro services in the off peak, so 16+4 at max

Obviously something has gone very wrong (or right?) if every single one of SE's metro trains are in service at the same time.

Frankmoh, as explained before, you'll never have them all out at once, because of maintenance etc. Yes there are some 5.707 services.

I've not photographed the 455s since leaving London + the demands of the job so regret not doing this sooner

While four remain, you’ve got a 15.7% chance of a pair of two SE branded Connex ones being together each day - if the maths isn’t wrong.

That is based on the assumption every 376 gets paired each day though, and there are a small number of 376 single workings, so…

On paper, there is still more than half the fleet with the Connex livery. That being said, I have seen much less 376s recently, probably because they are being taken out of service to apply the new livery.

It's a shame they are removing it, since it makes the nice distinction within SE's fleet of blue for long-distance and white for metro.

Hasn’t been a distinction since before the 707s came on board, and it was never valid anyway as 465/9s and 375s would often share routes.

SE blue is better to make the fleet uniform. It's not always the best to have something stand out and in this case something standing out from a company that went years ago

IIRC the livery warranty period is 10-12 years. Why have they waited an extra 8 years?

Could ask the same question about the 465s and they are still in white.

SE should have refurbished the 376s years ago before it was nationalised. Its ridiculous that Govia never did the work.

I guess it's because the 376s have never been in the state the Networkers have been. They are still shockingly dirty like most of SE's fleet (epsecially on the outside, the white doesn't help one bit!), but at least half of the seats aren't loose from the frames or whatever. Worst I've seen on a 376 is that the bin has fallen over (usually an empty bin though).

Instead propose to make every train have the NSE livery on it again, so that it is never out of date for any operator.

It's rather more than than that... I believe Milo T.K is referring to the bodyside work, which is being done at the rate of one a week at Ramsgate, the last unit is in this week. That is a precursor to the bue vinyl being applied at Gillingham, also at the rate of one a week, the 17th of that will emerge this Friday. So your 4 momths is about right, but that's the second element. Next stage is of course the interiors, which happens later.

As nice as blue on the outside is these things need cool air! Unbearable throughout this spring and summer. I wish I was privy to how much it would cost and why it's not being done. Add them and it'd be an ideal metro high capacity train. The only Electrostar sub class out of many without it

Crazy thing is it puts people off using the entire network. When Networker replacements come along they and the 707s will have it but a risk these things turn up boiling hot. Will detract from the whole network/brand for years to come when it comes to growing leisure market. Better off driving or using liz line etc given a chance.
