What would stop them using the GWML when that project is finished?
Oh for christ's sake, not again.
What would stop them using the GWML when that project is finished?
Excellent shot, thanks for posting, I'm curious about the pair of 08s on the front of the 2 pairs of back to back powercars, wonder are they used to position the PCs for final scrapping, then when released bring in the next ones or are they scrappers themselves?
And the reason they couldn't have been shortened? Surely a power car could be coupled to the split section of coach 9? Or even have less coaches in the rake like the NoL sets.

Today's Railways June 2017 edition reports (on page 68) that the powercars from 3101 and 3102 (which had been stored out of use) have been moved to Long Marston for storage with a view of making them into gate guardians for the High Speed Railway colleges at Brum and Donnie.
A replica/preserved vehicle placed at the entrance to an associated facility. Commonly done with aircraft at the entrance to an airbase/airport.Gate Guardians?
The fact that they were bespoke for the Chunnel and after years of heavy use are knackered, with parts that are obsolete. All the useful bits will be going to Temple Mills and Le Landy. It wouldn't surprise me if the remaining 373s are scrapped within 10 years, quite possibly within 5.
That has to be the tidiest scrapyard I've ever seen.
Probably...Do Eurostar have the option of a follow-on order for 374s?

Theres a minature concorde outside Heathrow...
I think that's been replaced by a mini A380 in Emirates livery. Not sure where the BA Concorde went- but of course there is still a full sized ex passenger service one in the airport which can sometimes be seen when taxiing from T5
You can put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig...

The large Concorde model went to Brooklands to complement their real Concorde.

Any ideas on when the next move might be? I couldn't see anything on Real Time Trains. With the lighter mornings, I'd love to get some pictures of the shunting manoeuvres into Kingsbury...
