I know its a while off, but when the trans pennine routes have been wired up and tpe get the london midland 350's what will happen to the 185's and also what will LM get to replace their loss?:|

It's too far away to be sure. Everthing is hypothetical concerning the wiring up of the Transpennine route, what stock will operate, where it will come from and where existing stock will go. Try again in a few years :lol:

I thought it was a bit far off to be questioning...Hopefully il'l be dead before all the franchise arguments begin:lol:

OK, lets take this from the proposal to electrify the Manchester-Preston section. 350's would take over from 185's on Manchester-Scotland. The ex LM 350's would be replaced by a new fleet of EMU's (I seem to remember something like 200 coaches for LM?).

This could free up around 10 units which would be distributed back across the TPE nework. possibly replace the 170's on Hull services?

Didn't that turn out (when the tenders were published) to be an order for 10 or so additional 350s eventually, tacked on to LM's own 'growth order' for more 350s for their own routes?

Whatever, it's all been cancelled/postponed anyway...
