Was on platform 1 at Preston this am awtg 1135 to Blackpool South..Class 331 x2 on Blackpool North to Liverpool at Platform 2.
About to leave when a very bright blue flash occured followed by a VERY loud bang,,seemed to occur by front unit pantograph,we departed with much discussion among very large group of pax..
Anyone have an idea what it may have been,,noticed on RTT it departed about 9 minutes late,so obviously not a major thing.

The delay is showing on Trust as "AC/DC trip" so I'm guessing the overhead power tripped, causing the huge bang etc.

Other members may be able to go into more detail in regards to the cause/what happened etc.
