Can I ask a few questions on the Class 323 at Long Marston

Are there any plans for these?
Are they out of mileage?
How many are available?

I have suggested that these could be used for additional use in Scotland to support East Kilbride services.
Maybe not East Kilbride services but even possibly Milngavie to Springburn services to keep them on the same services.

Could the Class 323 operate with Class 318/320? My thoughts are no, but I might be wrong

Thanks in advance for responses

The Combined Volume lists them as "miltiple working within class and with class 318, 319, 20 and 321" so yes, they could...

...but it would be a microfleet and ScotRail already have a tender process under way to replace their older fleets, so it's unlikely to be worth doing.

I know Scotrail started looking at new fleet, however the HST replacement was suppose to be after 318/320/334 replacement. This looks to have changed as HST replacement mat happen first.

Scotrail need a few more emus at moment, with East Kilbride line going live Dec. With peak fare abolishing in Sept, I can see increased rail travel.

With no replacement started yet, I can see the Class 320/3 fleet requiring T/Box or C6 soon as they were done in 2019-2021 and possibly the Class 318 may need this too, so possibly the spare Class 323 would help a shortfall in emus until a replacement order is delivered, probably now in early 30s

What happened to the blue 319/769 that went testing around Kilmarnock.

Two might be going to Northern temporarily in September.
