Class 322's - where to next?

I think it would seem a bit silly to have 3 321s one side of the Pennines and 5 the other side.
Put them all in one place and then that saves on crew and maintenance training.

any idea anyone what, if any modifications wil be made, other than pis changes etc? Is the cycle storage going to be kept or wil it be converted back to seating?

I'm sure i read on here somewhere that the cycle storage would be removed?

Yeh had noted that too however with yorkshire being popular with tourists I wonder if cycle storage wil be left?

Have a friend down that way who although no enthusiast got disturbingly over enthusiastic about the arival of these extra units. I suspect however this may be to do with the fact there 10 month old yells whenever its taken on a pacer! Strange child, dont know what there missing!

What if NXEA's 322s went to northern along with LM's 321s. Then there are two possibilities:
LM's 323s go to northern and in return LM get cascaded 319s for Cross-city and potentially a new batch of 350s (this keeps all 350s,323s and 319s in one TOC - then LM don't have a tiny 321 fleet)

Or, thaneslink 319s go to northern and they get new batch of 350s, whilst northern 323s go to LM (this means units are then spread over many TOCs)

It's only an idea so don't go mad with the criticisms

You cant have all 319's in one TOC, as they'll be used on GWML commuter services.

It was anticipated that the FGW 'Turbos' would nearly all be replaced by 319s, that's enough to replace about 50 2 or 3 car units, leaving a few for the non-electrified branches. Of course Crossrail is also an issue in that area, because not all current mainline DMU services will stay with FGW depending on what happens about Reading.

They'll definitely need a bit more than 'a few Electrostars' though...
