424 & 436 have moved from Colchester Depot to the siding by platform 5 at Colchester in last 24 hours. I assume what was there went to Clacton a few days ago.

Do we have a list of the remaining 321 diagrams anywhere? How many pairs diagrammed out each day now?

I'm unclear if the 321/9 (and 322's) are still in use ? If so, does anyone know when are we expecting them to go off lease please ?

Apparently June/July, but as we’ve seen with the 379s, plans change…

They are still in use on a frequent basis

There were certainly plenty out today! I managed a quick “bash” from Liverpool Street to Shenfield on a pair of Renatus units and a return trip on 322483 which was paired with another Renatus unit. I even managed a short trip (Liverpool Street to Stratford) on 315853 so all in all a good day, especially as I was with the fiancée who isn’t overly keen on riding around on “dirty old trains” (her words) for the sake of it! :D

Sadly I’m not sure I’ll get another chance to ride on the bins, honorary bins (aka 322s) or 315s again, although I’ve said that before……

Had a good trip down there last week for 317s and 315s, now planning a return trip for 321s. But it would need to be a Saturday.

Do the 321s have any booked work on Saturdays, and if so does anyone have the current workings?

If there is no booked work, what do they usually do?

Thanks in advance!

They tend to be common on Ipswich / Colchester workings on a Saturday with Southend / Braintree firmly in the hands of 720s.

Watch out for engineering work.

Only engineering work free Saturday in March is this coming Saturday, there were 321’s on Ipswich services this past Saturday, the Harwich shuttle is usually a 321 which gets swapped at 7pm then runs to Ipswich to form the 2009 fast to London.

It was a 720 this Saturday just gone, replaced by a 745 for the evening.

The morning Harwich 'boat train' (0636 from Liverpool Street) was a pair of 321s.

Mostly 321’s on the Ipswich/Shenfeilds yesterday

Cheers for that, been so used to seeing a 321 on it, seemed odd having a single unit on a fast run, must keep an eye out this coming Saturday

Having been at Harwich at 7pm on Saturday it is surprising how unprepared everyone seemed to be for the swap despite it being clear on the departure boards and seemingly a booked swap.

Kinda sad to see 321430 and 321427 go today. Both great units and I miss 430 with its NSE yellow door handles

Hi,

I don't suppose anyone knows what, if anything, the 321s were operating during today's engineering block south of Shenfield?

Any news appreciated, thanks!

Certainly a few in use on Ipswich services as well as Colchester shuttle & Clacton line from what I saw when I went to Ipswich today, but which I did not notice the units numbers, it was ex Northern unit I Travelled I both directions which I think were different,
i don’t know how many diagrams there are but a guess would say there were no more than 2 which were 720’s on ipswich’s
