Posted on the Greater Anglia makes further changes to its weekday timetable (from 10th January 2022) considerable uplift in services from 7/2 will mean more stock required so should buy them a few more months although new 720's turning up bi weekly recently could limit the time depending on whether they want to chase off the 379's first now or not.

For most people (such as myself), weekends are the only time, but it’s difficult at present because of engineering works at weekends on the WAML which are due to end in two weeks time…

I can concur with that, though i don't mind the 321 Renatus. Bright, airy, modern and aircon that usually works. The doors can be a bit rattly though. Smoother and quieter ride than a 720.

It's really frustrating that the doors on the Renatus units are that way. It absolutely did not need to be like that - there was a known fix that largely dealt with it and had been installed during the excellent Wolverton C6X, but was removed during the later Wabtec C6

Today, I saw another 321 at the headshunt at Clacton but as I didn't go by train, I couldn't see the number. Might have been 434?

When I was at Colchester on Saturday, around 3pm, both pans were down and no sign of life.

Maybe they moved to Clacton C.S.D later and the leading unit (430) is possibly, what I saw in the headshunt the following day...? I haven't got time at the moment to check times/paths

Thanks for the gen. The pair were there this morning. However 321423 remains in the spot with its pan up. From what I can see 321430 must have been the train involved in the move mentioned above.

My apologies for my earlier post, 423 is still there, either I need new specs or the beer is too strong, the other unit there is a blue coloured one which I didn’t think 430 was? But then again!

They seem to be running the 321's as 8 car rather than 12 car trains in the peak on the GEML and with a reduced timetable consequentially they are absolutely packed.

Can't believe it either. Last time I regularly travelled on GE was when the 307's/309's were in their twilight years and the 321's were being introduced
