It appears they have been extended and will have to be coupled to a PRM 321 in service. Not sure how long the extension is.

But we can only see what happens after the 31st of may. They may all be gone right before the deadline.

For those interested, class 315s observed on 2W52. Am unsure if they will be set swapped at some point during the day.

It actually seems to be a pragmatic solution to an unfortunate issue. Late delivery of new trains does seem endemic though.

Probably no date in sight until enough 720s are in service. On the times I've been on GA over the last few weeks, I've only seen the same units in service

Then there is the problem with the Wickford bays (I've asked about this elsewhere); I think the Manningtree bay might not be long enough and I'm not sure about the platform lengths along the Harwich branch.

Manningtree bay is long enough, just. Selective Door Operation takes care of Mistley and Wrabness, Parkeston will hold a 10 car 720, and Dovercourt and Harwich Town easily take a 5 car.

When @NSEFAN posted his observations out today, 447 and 331 seem to be running, and they haven't been running for a while. Aside from that, it is pretty much the same units.

Yes should have mentioned that, it seems Manningtree bay is more by luck than judgement though.

Wickford is currently being rebuilt.
