5H72 1147 Clacton C.S.D to Wembley.
However doesn't appear to have ran.
Also 321s have done the odd Southminster and Clacton to London Liverpool Street substitute this week.
So maybe more 321 are being kept then withdrawn at the momment.
Getting ridiculous at this point. I personally just want rid of them. This new fleet replacement is taking years.

It’s only ridiculous if you don’t know or understand what is actually happening. Not sure why this is causing such great personal angst but I’d rather have a 321 to travel in than stand in a five car 720 when it should have been 10 cars.

I'm understanding even less why they're getting so worked up about it given @TT-ONR-NRN is about 10,000 miles away!

I'm not necessarily thinking for myself, more the patrons of the route promised an entire fleet replacement a very long time ago that still is not complete.
Probably Bombardier/Alstom more at fault rather than GA.

With the 321s still being well below 40 years and in good condition, it’s hardly the end of the world. Is it?

Bearing in mind it is the heavily refurbed 321s with new interiors and air conditioning that are left in service I doubt many of the patrons are that fussed, for them the key thing is having a train with the right number of carriages.

Seems unnecessarily defensive, but alright. I do wonder if some of these disgruntled replies stem from personal like of the 321s and annoyance that I've stated I'd like them to be withdrawn.

Yes, but perhaps questions should be asked as to why not enough 720s are available to provide the right number of carriages?
That said, they've done far, far better than the 701s, so I'll leave it for now.

Indeed, we’ve enough trains being withdrawn before replacements are ready/being funded without suggesting more to go!

I’m merely curious as to why you seem so keen to see them withdrawn ASAP. I have no vested interest apart from having used 321s in the past, and found them perfectly satisfactory from a user’s perspective. I can’t really claim to find their replacements on GA anything particularly special.

I’m a 321 fan (obviously!), however looking at this objectively they’re not particularly old trains and they’ve been heavily refurbished, nor are they unreliable, uncomfortable, poorly kept etc. Furthermore, it’s not as if their replacements represent a step change (you could argue quite the opposite in fact!).

Your original post implies that they’re causing some kind of problem; I think that’s what people are disputing as they aren’t.

Or perhaps a professional view as to just how practical your opinion is.

Amusingly someone got on a 321 last week and said how posh it was for the Harwich branch.

321316 and 327 running this evening as 5H72 1649 Clacton Depot - Wembley Sidings.
Do you have the RTT link for this please? Or if not, is it Clacton CSD or somewhere different it departs from?
