Class 321 at Northfleet

There was I, bumbling around an industrial estate, lost...and then saw THIS!

Is the unit a bit lost do we think?

Lower Road, Northfleet, for anyone who wants to get the number ticked off!

If anyone has any info on how the unit landed here I'd be very intriguing!

IIRC it is owned by the London Transport Museum.

Looking at it, I'm guessing it was used to advertise travelcards

It's not lost - it was used for a NSE promotion for the London Travelcard. Part of a tube carriage is sandwiched in there, too.

That's some vehicle!! I'd love a drive but heaven only knows what license you'd need - bus, car, truck...maybe you'd need to sign a route for the tube & 321 haha

Think that will be a truck license (Class 2).

Is it owned by the LTM? I thought the Epping and Ongar management had something to do with it?

I guessed it was that from the presence of the number plate!

It is former London buses DMS1515 converted as described in other posts.

It is owned by London Bus Company, the owner of which is also the owner of the Epping Ongar Railway. It is used as a promotional vehicle for the railway and also turns up at other places, for example at the opening of the NSE Museum.

Although not used for carrying passengers it is possible to go on board, although not upstairs. The stairs have been removed.
