I was on the service 17:05 Eus - Mkc I sat in the motor coach and realised that the traction motor's wernt making any noise at all was silent like an 350!
Has LM retractioned these units?

No. Perhaps only one set was working (they run in 8 car formations).

If working, they are very noisy - a loud buzz from the transformer and traditional DC motor whine.

Are you sure it was the motor coach? 319s aren't exactly known for being quiet.

319s would be highly unlikely to be run with 50% of motors isolated (ie one unit of a two unit 8 car with no traction power) so I think you were probably in the wrong trailer. Also if one unit really was isolated it would have been so slow you would have been getting later and later.

It is extremely hard to keep to the timetable on TL with 75% power, and impossible as they start to get loaded up. 50% would be a non starter!

Agreed, the noise level of 319s is so high and the impact of having a power car isolated so great that I suspect you were mistaken about being in the power car. It's a mistake I've made on a few occasions, easily done!

No I was sitting in the power car. The car with half of the roof is lower and there's 3 seats with a pole in the middle. I couldn't hear no traction at all only the buzz but was quiet
