Have noticed that the mains sockets have been removed and plated over on at least Scotrail 318.

Is this just this unit or is it fleetwide ?

Presumably these are the sockets that aren't meant for public use (inadequate surge protection) and are there for use by cleaners on depot?

Presumed wrong I'm afraid. These are new sockets under tables for passengers to use etc, also seen on Greater Anglia 321s. But all plated over!

Indeed, here’s a photo Intook of one on 318226

You have to love the signs on the coach ends stating that the sockets are out of use at the moment & they’re trying to fix them, as though it’s just a temporary issue on that set & not something more widespread. Anyone know what the actual problem is?
