The wiki page adds up to 63... I thought there were only 61 units?

Just noticed that, a couple of units were duplicated.

I've corrected it and it's now up to date and correct! 315809 is still a bit of an unknown though so remains in the stored section as I'm not certain of it being scrapped as there isn't much evidence to suggest that.

I heard that the class 315 preservation group are in contact with Angel trains about a 315, could that be why class 315801 is still in storage?

We are indeed in negotiations however it is with Eversholt not Angel trains and we are covered by a NDA at this moment.

With TfL Rail ones hanging on abit longer, I hope I might be able to go on one again next year, if Covid improves, which now seems very unlikely. If I don't get the chance to go on one, I can still say I've enjoyed my journeys on them.

If not a 315, hopefully I can go on a Southern 313 instead hopefully at least at some point.

On a side, hopefully the preservation effort for the 315 is going well, and if we are lucky they might repaint it to NSE! That's my dream anyway! Fingers crossed!

We think it is important to save a hard working BR PEP unit, most of us who started this group worked them from either new or in BR days and never thought then we would be pushing to preserve one when we originally worked them, negotiations are ongoing and we are hopeful of success.

I travelled in 826 and 843 on the 4th. 826 was freezing cold inside. 843 was nice and warm. It seems to me that the wrong one is going for scrap.

I'd agree that 843 was a better unit than 826, but in my opinion 315838 is the 'worst' one left. It was a bit rough riding and swayed about more than the others. Nevertheless, give me that over any Mark III-derived EMU!

Regarding 807,843 and 849 seen these 3 driving ends at Booths on Thursday and today but don't know if they were all complete units in the lines as could only see some of the coaches anyone have any better pictures or more info of booths one's.

315809 will be the last LO unit left I think as all the others are either scrapped or are in the scrap line I believe.

Do you know which part of the works it is stored in? As I'd love to get a photo of it, as it's one I've not managed to photograph!
