class 315 at gatwick?

I was at gatwick in pl2 with me 3 car 166 when iam not sure but looked like a class 315 going empty on the up fast not 100% sure there any info

More than likely a Class 313 unit which looks like a 315 and can run on 3rd rail. 313s are now beginning to migrate to the Brighton area from London Overground.

Now way it was 315 as they can only pick up AC Current using their pantograph. It was a 313 as Southern are now in the process of receiving these units from London Overground as they prepare to get rid of their 313s for new build Class 378s. As stated 313s can run on third rail.
