Class 313 / 315

My son and I are going to London in two weeks (Saturday 11/03) and we are trying to track down as many 313 / 315's as we can.

We were thinking of Harringay (GN) / Stratford (LO / XR) but can anyone suggest any other good locations to try and get as many photos as possible before they all eventually disappear.

London Overground don't operate Liverpool Street-Stratford so you'd miss out on a few by going there. The Class 315s that stop there are operated by TfL Rail (a temporary holding brand).

Stratford is a very good choice but don't know if any work via Bethnal Green any more, used to be my patch years ago.

I remember Alexandra Palace used to be a good spot but havn't been there in years so not sure if still good or not

I expect the Southern 313's to be around for a while yet...

Do not waste your time going to Stratford on Saturday 11th March 2017. Due to engineering works there are no weekend TfL Rail services running at all during March.

As Spurs aren't playing at home on the 11th, I'd recommend visiting Chingford as there are bound to be a few 315s visible in the sidings. Last time I was there on a Saturday, there were nine single 315s and two double 317 sets in service on the Chingford, Cheshunt and Enfield services.

As for the 313s, Alexandra Palace would be a good bet as it's quite easy to see both up and down workings from there. Arsenal are playing at home, so there should be two additional 6 car 313s passing through prior to kick off.
