Class 20s at Neasden

There were four Class 20s at Neasden depot today, presumably having just delivered an S-stock unit. Does anyone know what time these workings usually take place? I go past Neasden every day and it's the first time I've seen them for months.

There were four Class 20s at Neasden depot today, presumably having just delivered an S-stock unit. Does anyone know what time these workings usually take place? I go past Neasden every day and it's the first time I've seen them for months.

They work up on a Wednesday night with a new set of 'S' stock, they usually stable at Neasden and then often move across to Ruislip LUL depot, where they stay until Friday tea-time (although they didn't today!). Then they head back to Peterborough via the North London Line.

I've never seen the booked return timings, I'm afraid. I'll ask one of my GBRf contacts, although LE movements rarely run to time!

The times that I've seen the 20s head off from Ruislip it has been between 18:30 and 19:30 (Friday). I suspect, though, that when there is a need and there are drivers with available hours they get them back to Peterborough ASAP. Given the motive power shortage that GBRf currently have I think that they are keen to utilise them whenever they can!

Through Harrow on the Hill on Fridays at about 11.35 - 11.40 then run via West Harrow to get to Ruislip the long way round, so there's a good approaching view from the popular bridge immediately north of Harrow on the Hill...
