Are Class 185s particularly prone to wheelslip/low adhesion? I know it's leaf fall season but recently every time I've travelled on a damp day the drivers seem to be going extra carefully when leaving stations - particularly Leeds and Huddersfield.

The only other time I've noticed it prior to this Autumn was last year at about 6am on a foul October morning at Stalybridge heading towards Manc, which made sense because there's an uphill gradient there.

Much better than a 158 in fairness, I remember sailing >2km mile past a red signal (a reversion) in a 158. On 185s, the WSP light does come on quite easily if I remember right hence the gentle take offs. The train is, to it's advantage a lot heavier than a 158.
