Is anyone currently creating a class 185?

I know Making Tracks are including one with
their Desiro Stock Pack and does anyone have
an idea when the release date for this is?

Damon will be able to answer this better than me probably - but I suspect it will be several months as they are awaiting a 185 sound set I'm told...

A couple of months seems reasonable. As you can see from the screenshots on the Making Tracks forum, the models are pretty much done and the liveries are coming along nicely.

Cheers for that Steve, it looks as though they have done a good job. Even if I do hate the 185 in real life.

it the thread from the other forum i noticed they were on about the 350 dc capabillities as far as im aware the dc shoes are still on the units but tied up in the raised postition, i also believe they are fitting a dc test track at kings heath depot for them to be tested on.

The 185 looks excellent! A very good sound set would be needed though I feel, as without, it wouldn't resemble a 185 - they have very distinctive sounds! :)

Looks great!

Only 3 or 4 where fitted with 3rd rail shoes and tested but all are fitted with the bar so that the shoes can be added at a later date

ill ave alook 2moro but im sure they are all fitted with them, they all have the dc emergency equipment on board in one of the many cupboards, plus they have barge boards ( i think thats what they are called) and a short circuit bar in both cabs, and on all units, you may be right and me in my wisdom have mistaken it for something else.

I'm pretty sure the shoes were especially installed for the testing on the SWML.
