Class 185 - convert to six car units?

Is it technically and financially feasible to remove the cab from one end of class 185s and replace with a gangway, then create six car units? More passenger space available, fewer staff needed, maybe optimise internal layouts (combine and reduce first class, reduce overall toilet provision etc), maybe even reduce the number of engines.
Pondering whether they would then be more useful and more efficient. Aware that this didn’t go totally to plan with the 458s.....

Is it possible? Don't see why not.

Is it cheaper just to couple them in pairs and put up with the lack of gangway? Certainly.
