Any news regarding these? Last I heard, Bombardier was having some difficulty fitting the power packs to the first unit, due to interface issues.

Could you explain what that means?

It could be interpreted as

"The batteries don't fit because the bolt holes are in the wrong place"

As I understand it (and it was only a third hand rumour, which is why I asked the question as there are clearly some people here that are 'in the know') when the power pack (i.e. the module that comprises the engine, cooler group, transmission and auxiliaries) was offered up to the body structure on the first unit, there were various points where it fouled and / or there was insufficient clearance.

They were delayed by the late finish of the 377/5 which finished some 6 months late so the first one should be around for testing in the next few months.
