Class 170 BPW-BHM

Just to let everybody know, so i was told as gen that the :

1M77 22/07/2011 2000 Bristol Temple Meads [BRI] to Birmingham New Street [BHM]

was operated by a 170 from bristol parkway tonight, with the voyager needed in bournemouth tonight, the 170 running empty from BHM to BPW this evening, and the voyager running down to reading via swindon, and then on to Bournemouth.

I thought it was. i just caught it at ASC while waiting for a train. it worked 1M77 from BPW, because 170's banned from Temple Meads

sorry as in banned. not cleared to temple meads.

that i dont know, maybe something to do with clearance issues.

I've obtained a document from NR, showing what's allowed where on the Western Region, & 170's are limited to where they can go south of Gloucester.

It has happened once that I know of. Lost a lot of time because of the poor acceleration of 170s

yes i know that voyagers (rather frequently?) cover for 170's on some routes although voyagers are not cleared to stansted i belive?

I'd be happy to put up with the extra 15 minutes as a pay off for the extra comfort!
