Are there diagrams and formations for the Chiltern Railways class 168s avaliable? I would like to know which sub-class works on each Mainline service.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
168s work most Mainline trains that aren't being done by a 68. I have also seen 168329 on the 1346 London Marylebone - Gerrards Cross before, good rode that was!
They do sometimes work on commuter trains like to Gerrards Cross, but not sure if they are any booked to do so.
168s used on 'short distance' Chiltern services were posted a few weeks ago. http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=2965045&postcount=17
The 172 diagrams were also posted (with reference to whatever attaches to them)

Using RTT you could probably fill in the gaps especially if you also looked in the 'Trains you seen working' thread and any other sources eg pictures on the Internet etc
With the exception of the 168/3s (ex-TPE 170s), there are no specific diagrams for each subclass, it's either a three car unit or a four one.
Thanks, that makes more sense.
Which DMU service has the longest formation on the Chiltern Mainline? There's a pic of a 9-car set consisting of 168325, 168111 and 168216 on the 06:47 Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone but this was taken last year in April so I'm not sure if it still runs, considering similar services start at Oxford now.

1Y10 is still booked a 9 car 168 = 2/3/4 in that order. This is the longest formation in passenger service. Lots of 7 & 8 car workings in both peaks.
They do specific diagrams.
