Class 158s to Kilmarnock Bonnyton

Over the past few weeks, a number of 158s have been running from Inverness Depot down to Bonnyton, Kilmarnock such as this working earlier today:

Some searching failed to yield the precise reason but my guess is sone form of category overhaul?

Does anyone know for certain? I would be interested in the specific reason.

I’m not sure which overhaul they are receiving there, but Kilmarnock Bonnyton is Brodie Engineerings site.

The last few have been for tree collision damage repairs. (As well as a couple of 170s)

There was another move yesterday from Broadies but this time it was to Corkerhill
Headcode was 5Z56 which guessing will be a 156 or a 153. Not sure if any Corkerhill 158 based units were at Broadies

It's probable that some of these 158's are going there for repairs to bodyside cracks above the yaw dampers. It's not related to the 800/801/195/other new build issues, as 158's have suffered from this for years.
