Can anybody feed me some information about those Class 158 sets in TransPennine Express livery currently being used by First Great Western.

I need to know

- How many sets
- Will they be returning to TPE
- If they are staying with FGW, when will they be refurbished?
- When did they first come into service with FGW

Thanks :)

Need to know or want to......

158750/760-769/776/778 according to the BR class 158 page on wiki
No, not returning to TPE (they have 170/185instead) but the DfT may change their minds.
All FGW 158's (ex TPE and ex Wessex) are due to be refurbed in an ongoing programme
Cascade began in June 2006 with 158750/762-765

158761 came out of Refurb in October (in service 15 Oct) try 158 fgw refurb in google and look at second link!

There are a few refurbs.

761, 762 and 748 spring to mind...

They came into service around May/June last year.

Seems a shame to refurb them, the ex-TPE sets were probably in the best condition out of all the unrefurbed sets!

Not now they arent! Trust me they look a LOT better after being refurbished.
