On most class 158 units, their luggage rack's side windows have wierd Etched patterns one them.

Does anyone know what those patterns mean???

Thanks,
Jim.

That's a really good question I've always thought it stems back to BR Regional Railways Alphaline

PS do you work at Lidl? I had an interview for there once I remember during it being told countless times how tough the work there is!

I think they're just a design touch really. They're original I think, about the only thing that hasn't been changed or replaced over the years!

Interesting - and quite a nice touch really - that despite all the refurbs over the years, none of the TOC's have got rid of them. Nice to have a reminder of the 'old days' lol! :D

ScotRail have. Strengthened glass isn't cheap, and seeing as it's etched in!
