I'm on a Northern 158 at the moment, and I've noticed a pattern on the glass sides of the luggage racks at each end of the carriage. Does anyone know what it's meant to be? My first thought was the logo of a previous operator, but I don't recognise it! Thanks

It's just an abstract pattern as far as I know. They have had it since new.

You're almost certainly right that it's original, I've haven't really travelled that much before on 158s so never noticed it - I just thought it didn't look random

If it's the one I'm thinking of then it can also be found on South West Trains 158s

And the Class 159s, although I think only on the dividers that can be found in the quiet coach (DMSL).
