Class 158 FGW Vultron Display EPROM Reading

As put in Post 204 in my Class 365 thread I have purchased an EPROM programmer, along with reading my 365 parts EPROMs, I can also read the EPROM which is on the removable storage cartridge on my 158 Vultron controller which holds the destination data.

This is a UV EPROM so it does have a sticker over it, however it was covering the EPROM model number so I had to peel it back slightly. Luckily however the sticker is much larger than what it needs to be and won't cause any problems.

Shown in the images is the cartridge which goes into a slot on the top of the controller which is normally covered by a plate.

I have read the EPROM located in the actual class 158 vultron display, unlike the one in the controller which stores destination data, this stores the data of which LCD segments make up each character.

As noted by it's label this EPROM has not been programmed since 1988! (Presumably when it was built)

The EPROM programmer/reader which I use did not specifically support this EPROM Intel 87C64 however AMD made a very similar one called the Am27C64, 87C64s datasheet has the 27C64 in it because they are essentially identical!
Same voltage, storage size and most importantly the same pinout.

Ah memories! (Pun intended!)
All IECC software was programmed on devices like that until CDROMs became available. I must’ve programmed thousands.
