Class 156 on Braintree branch

Got a real shock earlier today. 156418 at Braintree station.

bridge crumbling (remoured to be damage from the HOBC train) meant power out in the area- thus DMU on the branch

156 is booked to work the first few on a Sunday at the moment due to OLE being off - HOBC works in the area.

How are they working them? Given that Braintree is normally DOO worked isn't it, but 156s aren't set up for DOO. Colchester guard piloted by a Driver?

Its been Colchester guards and drivers working these as has been said because the overheads are switched off.

At Colchester we are the only ones who sign both 156's and the Braintree branch.
