Class 156 Liverpool to Norwich

Just boarded the 1334 Nottingham to Grantham (going forward to Norwich and originates at Liverpool) and in rolled a pair of 156s. I’ve frequently seen a 156/158 combo on this route with the 156 coming off at Nottingham. Just wondered if this is a frequent occurrence as the overall journey would be relatively uncomfortable!

Yes, fairly common. I don't find Class 156s uncomfortable per-se, they are a decent (if somewhat old) regional express unit.
