Class 142 [v1] Released!

Hi all,

The Class 142 for BVE4 has now been released!

The train features all the BVE4 plug-in features, which included fully functional train safety systems, working switches, door interlock and wipers, as well as realistic gear change at 41mph.

The train has been based around the cab graphics from Graham Parkin (MSTS), but the cab has been heavily modified by myself and Martin Corbett. Thank you to him for the massive amount of effort he put into the project – without him the train wouldn’t have been possible. Thanks also to Zane Saxton for a few sounds here and there as well as the gauges, and John Own for the engine start/stop sounds.
Can I also thank the testing team at TSC (Zane, Steve, Simon and others), who’s comments have changed the train for the better.

That is well "PRO"

Really good train Rich, fun to drive. Put the wheelflats on as it seems standard for a pacer to have them! Will give it a try on the Tyne Valley later, will fit in really well with that route.

Cool. But one thing... Now I've sorta experienced driving it, my thoughts are "OMG, & they're sending these pieces of junk (putting it mildly!) down here!!!" Remind me to make a note of avoiding these... things!!! lol Well done to all concerened in making this.

excellent train, one of the best.

im a big fan of the 142s these days,theyve grown on me coz they have character *cough* virgin voyager

323s are still my favourite, nothing could beat 3 phase acceleration!!
