A class 142 just went past my house on the Birmingham-Derby line heading towards Birmingham. Does anyone know where it's going?

It wouldn't be the First Great Western set would it?

142001 left Heaton depot at 11.00 am heading to Exeter after c4 overhaul.

Was it under its own power?

Are 142s allowed on that line if they are not service trains?
