Clapton station closure.

Hi,

Did a forum search for "clapton" but was no use at all.

I notice there are no services from Hackney downs or Clapton today despite there being a Chingford service from Liverpool street.

Tfl website states : CLAPTON STATION: Closed from Wednesday 27 December until Monday 1 January, please use local bus services.

Why? what's going on at Hackney Downs and Clapton that prevents stopping?

The stairs at Hackney Downs are incredibly loud, creaky and a bit unstable. Hopefully this is the case. Also rusted through.

You are correct! Not too sure - I did think both stations are able to be locked? Maybe not? Not too sure.

Ah, possibly in time to run an all night New Years service. Wouldn't the gate to Downs from Central be locked though?

It was locked if I remember correctly from travelling that direction earlier in the day
