Clapham - London Bridge

Can anyone tell me what the fastest route between Clapham Junction - London Bridge & Victoria is?

A friend has a Milton Keynes - Gatwick (route: Kensington Olympia) return for Friday. He has to go to the office at London Bridge to drop some documents off whilst en route before retracing his steps and catching a train at Clapham! Can anyone suggest how he does this as quickly as possible? I think:

Southern train MK – Clapham
Train Clapham Waterloo
Jubilee line waterloo – London Bridge

Then I get lost! Any ideas?

Walk Waterloo - Waterloo East
Waterloo East - London Bridge
London Bridge - Gatwick Airport (Thameslink direct or Southern change at East Croydon)

Rather than go through to Clapham Jn from MK, surely it would be quicker to get off at Wembley Ctl and get the Bakerloo Line to Waterloo and get the Jubille Line or the Overground to Euston and then the Northern Line to London Bridge.

Why not go to Euston and get a Northern Line train (Bank branch) direct to London Bridge?

I think the above three posts might be forgetting that the original question is about someone who already has his/her ticket routed 'via Kensington Olympia'?

So not valid on its own at any of the aforementioned London Terminals...

Why not go to Euston and get a Northern Line train (Bank branch) direct to London Bridge?

Because he has a southern ticket....you can break your journey at Wembley etc but the ticket won't work at Euston's barriers. Saying that you could get off at Watford Jn, go out the barrrier and tap back in with an oyster card then do as the poster said go straight into euston on LM

Personally, I'd obtain a route excess to allow use on Any Permitted route (which, for one leg of a return ticket, is HALF the difference in fares), go through to Euston and get the Northern Line (City Branch) from there to London Bridge, then pick up a Thameslink service on to Gatwick.

Whilst it would work out more expensive than going through to Clapham Junction and using Oyster from there to London Bridge and back, it'd certainly be quicker.

Personally i'd get off at Shepherds Bush (if the train stops there), change for the Central Line to Bond Street then get the Jubilee to London Bridge.

Minor snag: Jubilee line isn't stopping due to upgrades.

via CLJ to Waterloo/ London Bridge is quickest but another ticket would be required (or if an Oyster is on hand...)

Good point - its amazing what you miss when you don't travel on a line often. :roll:
