Hi all, some advice needed.
My new commute is Clapham Junction to Trafalgar Square.
As I only make this journey 3-4 days a week, it isn't cost effective to buy a travelcard, so am using PAYG oyster.
I have thus far, been taking the train from Clapham Junction to Waterloo, and then walking over the bridge. I am charged £3.00 for this journey.
As there is no way to get from the SWR platforms to Waterloo East, I assume that if I were to take a train from Waterloo East to Charing Cross, and do so on my oyster, would be charged a second fare as I'd have to tap out at Waterloo, walk across to East, tap back in, then board a train to CX.
TfL Fare Finder seems to suggest however that the fare from Clapham Junction to Charing Cross is £3.00, but I have found this tool to be incorrect before so don't trust it.
Does anyone know if I would indeed be charged a second fare between Waterloo East and Charing Cross, or if Waterloo-Waterloo East is a valid interchange and I would not be charged any extra despite having to tap out and then back in again?
