Howdy. Could anyone tell me what coaching stock I'm likely to find for the various classes of sleeper accommodation on board the CityNightLine routes 'Aurora' (Copenhagen - Basel) and 'Hans Christian Andersen' (Copenhagen - Munch - Innsbruck)? I know they have some single level and some split level sleeping carriages, but not which routes they necessarily operate on.

Thanks!

PS. Timetables for the above here: http://citynightline.ch/nachtzugreise/view/mdb/nachtzugreise/reiseinfo/MDB61843-brosch_re_gb_web.pdf

According to this page, they are both operated with double-decker stock, although an old name is shown for the Munich-Copenhagen service.

Also, for information, the new timetable from 13 December is shown here.

Thank you!

I subsequently found these equivalent pages in English: http://citynightline.ch/nachtzugreise/view/en/klassen/schlafwagen/schlafwagen_en.shtml

However I was slightly confused by the English page for the 'Comfortline Deluxe' cabins (http://citynightline.ch/nachtzugreise/view/en/klassen/schlafwagen/comfort_deluxe_en.shtml). The image at the top shows what looks like an upper-level cabin in a double deck carriage, but am I right in thinking that the Comfortline fleet is single level, and that's just an incorrectly placed image of the 'Doppelstock' double decker?

PS... any recommended berth numbers in the doubledecker fleet? Presumably (like the British ones) nearer the middle of the carriage, away from the bogies? Is it possible to request a specific cabin number, or check the assigned berth before purchasing online?

I booked with DB's Surbiton office, e-mailed details of the journey, together with the compartment number I wanted and got it :)

Middle of the coach would be better, and a lower deck berth for the best night's sleep.

it's only a 5 minute walk from my flat, can't do it during the week as I'm in work when it arrives and I'm doing a german course when it departs
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
the Copenhagen-Munich section comprises 1xDouble Deck sleeper, 2xCouchette coach, 1xSeated coach & 1xBuffet coach
