I saw they were both having new departure boards installed when I last passed there early this month, are they up and running yet?

Where these the last 2 stations on the line without the new screens?

I spose its really good that passengers can can now find out when the next train is due if its delayed.

By the way this is my 1st post so hi to all forum users.

It was always a problem at Church Stretton & more so Craven Arms, having to rely on the speaker or phone in, a few years ago I ventured to Church Stretton a bank holiday, 5op return from Wrexham after 6p.m. anyhow I was going to catch a train back around 10p.m. p.m. the train did not arrive
but around 15 minutes later a class 40 complete with (TPO?if i recall ) & passenger carriages stopped, this it appears was a bank holiday cover for both stations to Shrewsbury as the HOWL had less trains on public holidays.
Happy days, and welcome, as to your question, I have not noticed them working last time I used the line, others will have latest info

Cheers, I just remembered that Gobowen has a TV screen in the window showing departures, unless that changed or due to be changed.

And Knighton has a TV screen on Platform 1, Do any other stations on the HOW line have departure boards, or do they all have that speaker phone thing, and is it just me or can anyone else struggle to hear what the voice is saying on those things?

|use the HOWL now & again, I can confirm the following have TV type screens,some request stops may also have them,ones I have seen are at
Llandod Wells,Builth, Llanrwtyd Wells,Llandovery,Llandeilo,Knighton all have the speaker phone,Builth & Llandovery have the wind up variety, yes at times difficult to hear. As for Gobowen its still there, Ruabon as a more modern system just installed, the moving display type.

Greenback will give chapter & verse around Llanelli . What area are you based.

Both stations have new ATW shelters, I think this is the work you may have seen being undertaken?

yes i saw the new shelters being built at the 2 stations.

I hope Welshpool will get the new departure board screens for each platform, i fogot to mention it before, I have been stuck for ages at Welshpool a few times, and on those ocasions the auto speaker phone was not answering, just kept on ringing.
