Any idea on what was planned for over the Xmas period?
Bridge at Teeside.
Track renewal at York
Bridge at Reading (Delayed I believe due water in foundations)
Bridge at Doncaster (Delayed by high winds)

Any more?

I understand the DF was put in with "the wrong kind of waterproofing" - hence a major dig out and re-laying of membranes etc. Been on a long time that TSR !

Not really trackwork, but the old post office bridge across all the platforms at East Croydon was removed over Christmas

Again possibly not trackwork but Redhill to Purley is closed until 3rd January for I understand "embankment" works - but putting 1 and 1 together they are possibly upgrading the points at Stoats Nest Junction to allow faster crossover. Still needs a flyover!

Hmm, well I dont know which bit of Brocklesby Jcn they have been working on, but the ride over the pointwork was quite lively in the 170 I was on GMB to MAN last night...

Cannot see why this should have led to a TSR.

As Network Rail specified the formation design and supervised this work one wonders who will be paying the bill for the re-work ?

It really is embankment works though, as we discussed a few weeks back?
