I went Christmas shopping in Norwich/Norfolk yesterday a trip which I had put off last week due to a signal failure at Audley End,got to Cambridge there were no trains to Norwich (Signal Failure) so had to catch the train to Ely to get there ,the train left Ely on time but was an hour late at Norwich 14.35 instead of 13.35,(we had to sit and wait outside crown point as the trains were queuing up) so missed the train to Sheringham.

When the train arrived at sheringham the shop I was going to had closed.

Not blaming Abellio but if they want people to shop in Norwich/Norfolk its no good.:(

Location or TOC is kind of irreverent. There was a total failure of the signalling over Trowse Bridge, similar thing anywhere would have caused as much of an issue.

No I agree its just unfortunate that last week there was a signal failure at Audley end (no trains running), and a goods train breakdown between Stowmarket and Ipswich, (line closed in the morning) and now this.

Not blaming anybody but if people cannot get to the shops then the local economy will suffer.

A kind of wasted day for me too, location is relevant for me as I got zero Christmas shopping done.!

The customer service was good at Norwich though very helpful, as much as they could and the on board conductor did keep us informed, the Abellio staff were great to be clear.

So well done for that I guess its network rail.

Performance nationwide has been poor for the last couple of periods across board, and especially the last four weeks. Anglia are no exception.
