Just been looking at Avanti RFY (Rock Ferry) - Euston via Liverpool off peak return tickets over Christmas/New Year 2021/2. So the restrictions apply to the Liverpool - Euston portion and the fare is set by Avanti.
BR Fares states that there is a peak fare easement 23.12.21 - 3.1.22. I Tweeted Avanti and they confirmed this. Yet their website JP is still charging peak fares for departures before an 11am London arrival. So charging £347.80 return for a journey that should cost £94.40 return (given the easement). Seems that the JP system hasn't been updated (again). That's Avanti overcharging online by £253.40. How can they justify this given that I have already inserted my desired journey into their JP? Do they ever upload easements to the JP system?

It would be helpful if you could put your abbreviations into full.

I don't know the answer. Is it possible someone forgot to update something about this ticket.

Sorry its Rock Ferry (Wirral) - Euston via Liverpool (so essentially for restrictions its Liverpool-Euston). Yes it seems that Avanti hasn't uploaded the Christmas / New Year easements. My point is how easy it is to be overcharged by £253.40 just because the TOC (or whoever is responsible) hasn't updated the planner. But by contrast how quick & keen the TOCs are to penalise passengers for the slightest thing.

It seems OK now.

Yes it does - thanks for checking for me. Possibly since I Tweeted them to check on the easements & they asked a colleague to update them? Or perhaps they were just in the process of doing so. We will never know. Either way it's good to know its now correct!

It’s incredibly convenient for them to forget or delay updating this. I don’t think it will have had much effect in terms of overcharging people as many who are wanting flexible tickets will buy on the day but it’s definitely possible some people have bought the anytime ticket as they’ve been presented with no other choice.

I suspect where it HAS had a notable effect is many people will see that price and just travel later when it’s cheaper or they’ll just go in the car, especially a group of 4 as it’s unlikely they’ll want to spend £1400 for a trip to London when they could take and park a car for £40+ £10 a day parking.
