Christmas Birthdays....

Anyone else have there birthdays close to Christmas mine is tomorrow (23rd) my thinking is we should have 2 birthdays? ..

When I was at school 30 years ago, our Games master ( who also taught Geography and occasionally Engineering Drawing ), later our Housemaster... his birthday actually is 25th December!

He retired last year.

Mine's the 2nd January; I wouldn't want it to be any closer as then they get merged together — New Years Day helps to break the feeling of the 8 day difference.

Mines actualy in the summer, so I have the nice long gap!

However, One cousin has his birthday on the 22nd, and another has his on the 23rd. And a friend of mine has hers on the 24th.

I'd hate to have them this close together, because as previously mentioned, they get merged together

Atrocious weather? Why would you want it to rain on your birthday?

Rain gives a break from the incessant summer sun which, more often than not, can prevent any strenuous activity.

I know loads of people with birthdays in January; it's getting close to at least one person for every day — there are 3 from my family: mine's 2nd; sister's week later (9th); cousin week after that (16th).

Having said that, that evil looking character you posted wouldn't have been entirely out of place... When out of earshot, the middle word of the bloke's nickname ( in between "The" and his surname ) cast serious doubt on his paternity...

I have a nephew who was born on Christmas Day. I asked my sister what they intended to do about his birthday and whether or not they were going to give him a half birthday in the summer. She said they wouldn't be doing anything like that, so I made sure he got a Christmas and a birthday present, differently wrapped, each year. I don't think he's ever been upset with that arrangement, or at least hasn't said so.
