Just a quick query.

If I bought a Child Priv return Crewe - London terminals would I be valid to go Crewe - Brum - Marylebone?

Yes, but seeing as it is only £2 anywhere, you could buy some better tickets.

Crewe-U1256 London springs to mind.

or Crewe-Portsmouth, Crewe-Ryde etc etc.........


Buy a Crewe-U1256 ticket so you get some LU travel included. It is valid via Birmingham and into Marylebone.

The fact it is a Priv discount does not alter the fact that the route you may take (unless you happen to wish to travel on one of the very small number of trains which are restricted to Priv holders).

Crewe to London Group is on maps CM+GC, CS and LC.

CM+GC shows the routes:

Crewe > (Stoke on Trent) > Stafford > Wolverhampton > Birmingham > Tyseley/Coventry > Leamington Spa > High Wycombe > Marylebone

Having only just found out about the £2 return to anywhere it'd be ashame not to use it before I can't in September. However only 67002 is required now...

Can't believe you're still on child priv tickets! Enjoy your last 2 months. (You seem too sensible & around for too long to not yet be 16!)

And it's "Any Permitted" you need to ask for not, "all stations", though they should sell the Any Permitted anyway!

There are some useful tickets that permit travel via numerous routes, thus enabling some circular journeys (e.g. York to Nuneaton allows a rather large circular route, in 2006 I went via Peterborough, Leicester, Nuneaton, Warrington, Manchester) and at present it doesn't matter what ticket you get as it's only £2.
