Hey everyone. I was just about to go to bed last night when I heared something like a 20 go through Lincoln last night, it was around 23:30. Does anyone know what it was? Maybe a sandite run? Although in Lincoln those are usually ran by class 66.

No Class 20 would have been around Lincoln around that time. The only trains which ran through Lincoln around that time are the last passenger service of the day from Nottingham (a Class 158) & a Class 60 (60054) on the Westerleigh-bound tanks. A move in preparation for the RHTT's ran through Lincoln yesterday afternoon en route to Stowmarket, though, but this had Class 57's on the train.

On a potentially slightly related note, does anyone know which 20s were headed into Manchester on the Chat Moss line yesterday (about 11am near Patricroft/Eccles)?? I presume they were off to RHTT sites.

I dont know then, I suppose it could have been the 60, as those are pretty loud, especially in the midle of the night. With all the airbases around it might even have been a helicopter ;)

I saw 2x66 running sandite earlier, its a shame we dont have more 20's t do them as they are the perfect size
