Hi there,
Just to check that this is valid... I live in Cholsey, and routinely have to go into Reading for work, then Oxford in the afternoon, then back home to Cholsey. All after 10am so I use my network railcard. I've normally got myself an Oxfordshire Day Ranger for about £10, but it's a faff because the ticket seller in Cholsey often struggles to sell it to me (the first time, she denied it existed and I had to buy it on arrival in Reading).
But it occurs to me that I could use the Cholsey easement:
700137 Customers travelling from Cholsey via Didcot Parkway in possession of tickets routed 'Any Permitted' may travel via Reading. This easement applies in both directions.
Do you think it would be valid to buy a Cholsey-Oxford day return, and 'break my journey' in Reading? This would mean I could buy the ticket from the machine, and save a couple of quid.
